Installation Instructions
There are 2 major ways to install decals, a dry method and a wet method. We have come up with step by step directions to help you install your decal the right way.
DRY METHOD
This is the most common way of installing decals. Used for small and medium decals.
Items needed for install: paper towel or rag, cleaning solution, scissors or blade, masking tape, appellation squeegee (i.e. credit card, drivers license, any hard flat item).
1. Clean area (make sure area is dry and at least 40 degrees).
2. Cut along the lines stated on appellation tape. (tape is folded over so decal is not damaged during shipping)
3. Hold decal up to desired area.
4. Tape top of decal to the area with masking tape.
5. Step back and make sure location looks proper and decal is straight.
6. Keeping the decal taped to area fold entire decal up.
7. While holding the decal remove the back paper layer of the decal (you should see the decal and appellation tape)
8. Starting at the top slowly lay the appellation tape and decal back on the surface. (Be VERY CARFUL, once decal touches the surface it cannot be removed wit out destroying it)
9. Using a squeegee or any hard flat item (i.e. credit card, drivers license, library card) rub the entire decal.
10. Starting at any top corner, slowly pull back the appellation tape, (if any part of the decal sticks to the appellation tape slowly lower that portion of the appellation tape back on the surface and rub with the squeegee.)
11. Small bubble will disappear over time. For larger bubbles try rubbing the squeegee over the decal moving the air bubble to the edge of the decal.
12. If larger bubbles are not gone within a week use a sewing needle to pop them and rub the air out with a squeegee
13. Now enjoy your decal!
